About us
A squad built around performance — and enjoyment.
Mercury Performance Coaching provides running, cycling, swimming and triathlon coaching to athletes of all abilities across Bayside Melbourne — Hampton, Bentleigh East, Sandringham, Carnegie and surrounds. We give athletes a framework to learn, improve and get the most out of the sport — whatever "the most" means for you.
We're the coaching provider for the Bayside Triathlon Club, Glen Eira Sports and Aquatic Centre (GESAC) and Sandringham Athletics Club, with more than ten coached training sessions every week.
Beyond group training, we offer personalised programs, 1:1 coaching, video swim analysis, corporate health, training camps and information sessions — plus a dedicated beginner pathway for first-time athletes and three weekly junior triathlon sessions run with Bayside Triathlon Club.

Why athletes choose Mercury
Every session is coached, not just supervised. Whether it's a 5:45am swim squad at GESAC or a Tuesday track session at Sandringham, an accredited coach sets the session, watches how you move, and gives you feedback you can use the same day — technique cues in the pool, pacing advice on the track, and race-specific structure as your events approach.
Beginners and Kona qualifiers share the same squad. Sessions run in ability groups, so a first-timer preparing for a local sprint triathlon trains in the same environment as athletes who have raced at the Ironman World Championship — each at their own pace, all with the same coaching attention. That mix is deliberate: beginners learn faster around experienced athletes, and the squad culture keeps everyone turning up through a Melbourne winter.
Training that fits around real life. With morning and evening sessions across the week — and personalised programs, 1:1 coaching and video swim analysis when you need more — you can build a training week around work and family rather than the other way round. And because we coach through local clubs, your membership connects you to a racing community, not just a timetable.
